Today we will review a case that involves both eyeliner and eyebrow treatment. 

Who hasn’t struggled to get eyeliner looking perfect? Applying your own eyeliner is extremely difficult, but when eyes have been perfectly lined, they can look amazing. Permanent cosmetics gives eyes a wide awake, more vibrant look and the best thing is: you can say goodbye to smudges and smearing!

There are various treatment techniques available when having a eyeliner enhancement. The eyeliner can be applied thin or thick and offered in an array of colours. You can also opt to have a Eyelash Enhancement which will give you a defined but subtle shading at the root of the eyelashes, which will emphasise your eye colour and make your lashes look thicker, your eyes larger and more striking and will eliminate annoying eye make-up smudging. 

The Process of Eyeliner Enhancement Procedure
An initial consultation will be required before treatment to discuss the procedure, assess client suitability and carry out a patch test. On the day of treatment there are 3 main steps involved 

Step 1: Consultation
In this initial stage, the result that the client would like to achieve is discussed in detail. The thickness, colour and effect is agreed and the treatment plan laid out.

Step 2: Anaesthetic Cream
About 30 minutes prior to the procedure, anaesthetic cream is applied. In this case, the cream was applied onto upper and lower eyelids of both eyes and eyebrows as the treatments were carried out on the same day. The time that the anaesthetic cream takes to take effect may vary depending on individual conditions, but generally speaking, the longer the cream is on the skin the better to insure that the treatment is as comfortable as possible. 

Step 3: Application
Eyeliner application: 
Starting with the outer corner of the upper eyelid. The liner is carefully stoked onto the skin at the root of the lashes. Working along the edge of eyelid to build a frame and blend the colour into the eyelash root before applying liner that will sit above the eyelash. This is to insure that when the eyes are opened you are not left with a white patch of skin where the eyeliner has just been applied and not shaded into the lash line. The eyes are always shut throughout the procedure and supported to insure that the eye is protected at all times.

Eyebrow application: 
In this case, the client is blond. Therefore, the brow colour is used to compliment the fairness of the client's appearance. Starting at the outer corner of one eyebrow, hair like stokes are implanted to enhance the shape and colour of the brow. The feathered effect creates a natural enhancement.

Finish
Similar to other Permanent Cosmetics application, immediate after the treatment, the colour may look darker due to the oxidisation of the pigment which will stabilize in a couple of days. the area will be red, slightly swolled a tender to touch.
